The Forest Canopy Foundation is proud to support the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC). This unique initiative invites everyone from all corners of the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee” in honour of The Queen’s 70 years of service to this Nation.

Planting trees and protecting forests are simple, cost effective ways to slow climate change, filter our air, enhance our communities and provide habitats for wildlife. The QGC will focus on planting sustainably and will encourage everyone to learn more about the best way to plant trees so that they survive and flourish for years to come. Trees and hedgerows must be planted with care, at the right time of year, in the right place and with species that are not prone to prevailing tree diseases. The QGC initiative will encourage planting during the official planting season, October to March, to optimise the chance of trees surviving and flourishing.

As part of this exciting project, The Forest Canopy Foundation look for those wanting to participate with large scale tree planting projects. The FCF can link together landowners wishing to plant trees, Corporates wishing to help plant trees and experts who can get the trees planted.

Landowners/Corporates wishing to participate should get in touch and the FCF can help with the planning, species choice, design, planting and aftercare – all FCF projects are maintained for 25 years. The FCF can also help with sourcing available tree planting grants from the Forestry Commission as well as looking at other sources of blended finance for the potential Natural Capital Benefits.

FCF are supported by their expert providers who offer the nationwide delivery service for all the projects. These and the projects are all independently audited by Grown in Britain (the little red tractor for forestry).
